If your packing seems to be blowing out too quickly and you'd like more life between repacks, consider our new Core Wrap.  While glass fibers are good at sound absorption and insulating, they are not strong enough to hold up to turbulent exhaust gas flow.  The Core Wrap is made with a high temperature fiber that takes more heat and abuse than anything else we've tested, protecting the packing behind it.  Even the highest quality muffler packing will benefit from a Core Wrap.

Compared to conventional stainless steel wool materials, the Core Wrap is made with a more durable fiber that resists oxidation in temperatures up to 24000F.  Its quality and durability protect the packing behind it.  We mate this incredibly durable wool to a layer of 304 stainless woven wire cloth and form it into a pre-rolled pad for easy installation.  Use the stainless steel ties (included) to secure the Core Wrap around the core before packing the rest of the muffler.
